  • 1977

    Mr Au Tat Hung established Tung Hing Plastic Mfy Ltd. in Hong Kong. At that time, the 180m2 factory focused on manufacturing and exporting products such as mirrors and photo frames.

  • 1978

    Launched our first original product – a double-sided makeup mirror .

  • 1980

    Tung Hing’s portfolio expanded to include plastic products and hair accessories according to the changing market demands.

    1987

    Set up Tung Hing Plastic Mfy Ltd in Henggang, Shenzhen, with a floor area of 65,000m2. This factory produced hair products, such as accessories made of plastic, rubber, metal, and fabric.

    1997

    Established our own electroplating production line, which met the European standard for electroplating.

  • 2001

    Introduced a fully automated hair pin production line, producing 9 million pins per day, which was the highest daily capacity for these items anywhere in the world.

  • 2004

    Secured partnership with Helfrance, a famous hair accessory brand from France, to design European-style products. This strengthened Tung Hing’s leading position within the industry.

  • 2006

    Acquired ISO9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 certification for our quality management system.

  • 2009

    Moved the Shenzhen factory to Pingdi and fully upgraded the equipment to increase productivity.

  • 2013

    Received a business license from the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), established a first overseas facility and expanded our capacity.

    Set up a new factory in Bangladesh with 37,000m² floor area and comprehensive facilities.

    Signed a contract with a corporate management consultancy. Set up an internal committee to oversee potential changes, promote innovation, and continue expanding the business.

    Established Corporate Culture Committee to promote our values of integrity, staff caring, social responsibility, and continuous improvement to encourage a harmonise and loving work ambiance.

    Established Continuous Improvement Committee, to nourish our new generation of management elites, envisioning the enterprise’s macro future with energetic sustainability.
